I promise I won't drink, or smoke or do drugs, So you will be healthy and ready for hugs.

See your doctor as soon as you know you are pregnant.

Don't take drugs or drink alcohol.

Eat a well-balanced diet.

Rest and get 8 to 10 hours of sleep at night.

Report all illnesses to your doctor.

Don't Smoke!  If you can't stop smoking all together, reduce the number of cigarettes to as few as possible.

Don't take any medication, unless approved by your doctor.

 

How my baby is growing.

 

2-9 weeks:       All major organs are formed, but not completely developed.

10-13 weeks:    I can hear my baby's heart beat at my prenatal visit!

14-17 weeks:    Baby's fingers and toes have soft nails.

18-20 weeks:    I can feel my baby move!

21-23 weeks:    My baby is nearly 10" long and weighs 1/2 to 1 pound.

24-27 weeks:    My baby's eyes can open.  Fine hair now covers my baby's body.

28-31 weeks:    My baby can kick, stretch and respond to light and sound.

32-35 weeks:    My baby is 18" long and weighs nearly 5 pounds.

36-37 weeks:    My baby is gaining about 1/2 lb. a week.

38-40 weeks:    Baby's lungs are ready to breathe on their own.

 

FREE PREGNANCY TESTING:  Mondays & Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.      closed for lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Prenatal services provided by an OB/GYN specialist at the Health Department, Ultrasounds, and referrals to other professionals and programs available. Most insurances accepted, including Medicaid. Delivery is at Memorial Healthcare Center.
