Food Safety Classes
The Shiawassee County Health Department is now offering the Food Safety Manager Certification Class.
The Certified Food Safety Manager examination is accredited by the American National Standards Institute and the Conference for Food Protection and meets all the requirements for full certification in food safety and sanitation for Michigan. It is a comprehensive program which will provide the necessary knowledge for proper food handling and processing, time/temperature relationships, general maintenance, and proper sanitation practices. You will also be introduced to food pathogens and how to prevent foodborne illness.
